Regency Hampers was founded in 2001 by son and mother duo Neil and Sue, who were joined later by brother Daniel. They all shared a deep desire to showcase the culinary heritage of the Cotswolds with beautifully presented gift hampers. Neil brought his expertise from the pioneering days of e-commerce, having worked with World of Shopping, one of the UK’s early online platforms. Daniel contributed his background in FMCG sales and marketing, having worked with renowned brands including Cadbury, Sharwoods, and Douwe Egberts. Sue, with her experience in accounting and hospitality from running a B&B in central Cheltenham, completed the founding team.
From humble beginnings in the family home, the business started by creating Christmas hampers packed with high-quality gifts that celebrated the finest food and drink produced within the Cotswolds, complemented by exceptional products from further afield, such as champagnes, wines, and luxury chocolate selections. As demand grew, so did the operation. By 2004, Regency had outgrown every available room in the family home, prompting the first of several relocations throughout the Cotswolds, before settling in Cheltenham.
What began as a small seasonal Christmas venture soon blossomed into a year-round celebration of gifting. Today, Regency Hampers serves every occasion you can think of —from welcoming new arrivals and marking retirements to anniversaries, birthdays and everything in between. Suffice it to say, we couldn’t do it without the support of a dedicated team of employees and seasonal Christmas staff from across the Cotswolds.
