Zoe Saldana may be among those who love to receive wine hampers as gifts, as she has revealed the extent to which she enjoys the tipple.

Speaking to Glamour, the Star Trek and Avatar actress explained she is a fan of fine wines and will drink them with friends at any time of the day, within reason.

"I love my wine and I don't wait until the sun goes down," she said, adding she has recently realised the importance of laughing more often. "I want to be able to enjoy this time, if it comes and goes again."

And while a wine hamper may make for an ideal gift, Saldana revealed her taste in food is a little more unusual, with her diet including daily helpings of cabbage with olive oil and salt.

Wine hamper fans may have recently enjoyed the 2010 instalment of England Wine Week, a nationwide celebration of viticulture that ran from May 29th until June 6th.
