A gift hamper could be the ideal present for actress Tiffani Thiessen as it has been reported that she has been treated to a baby shower.

The former Saved by the Bell star has only weeks left before giving birth in May and had 65 guests at her home outside Los Angeles - which she shares with husband Brady Smith - to mark the occasion.

It was hosted by her former 90210 co-star Jason Priestly's wife and friends and family ate cake during the outdoor event.

Thiessen told Pregnancy magazine that she is going to have a hypnobirth - a method that uses hypnosis to allow a baby to born naturally.

She said: "I'm really excited about it. That's my plan, but my husband and I are both very, very open to however the child is supposed to come out."

It was reported earlier in the week that Mario Lopez - a former co-star of Thiessen - does not want to know the gender of his child until its birth.
