Chocolate lovers may be interested to hear the world's largest chocolate bar has been unveiled in Armenia. Elizabeth Smith, representative from the Guinness Book of World Records, was on hand to measure the slab, which was 10 inches thick, weighed 9,720 pounds and measured 18.4 feet wide by nine feet long. The chocolate bar knocked the previous record holder, a bar made in Italy in 2007 that weighed 7,890 pounds, off the top spot. Grand Candy created the sweet stuff - which is often featured in luxury gift hampers - and the firm's chief executive officer Karen Vardanian told those present it was made to celebrate the company's tenth anniversary. Chocolate enthusiasts will have the opportunity to taste some of the record-breaking snack next month, when staff members divide it up and give it out to members of the public for free. A recent article in the South Wales Echo advised chocoholics to consume dark versions of the provision, as it is healthier than its milk counterparts because it contains flavonoids.
