Wine hamper fans have chance to 'try before they buy'

Wine fans in Chester will soon have the chance to sample a number of beverages using new technology.

Bosses at wine merchants Corks Out will be installing tasting machines in all of its stores in October.

The Italian appliance's feature vacuum sealed units that keep the wine at the correct temperature, while also ensuring it remains fresh.

A team of experts will be on hand to talk about the brands on offer and customers can savour wines for as little as 30p and - if they enjoy the tester - they will be able to purchase a full glass of wine that they can imbibe in-store.

According to the retailer, individuals will get the chance "to explore a new grape variety or region without spending a fortune".

In a recent article for the Scotsman, Rose Murray Brown suggested people who like spicy red wines should try malbec.

She explained bottles of the drink - which are often featured in luxury gift hampers - that originate from Argentina are among the best, as they have soft, spicy textures.
