A volunteer centre in Leicestershire has received an Asda gift hamper to say thank you for its custom at the supermarket giant.
Volunteers at the Castle Donnington Volunteer Centre run a range of services for local residents, but perhaps its most popular is its dial-a-ride service which takes elderly passengers from the area to the local Asda every Wednesday.
The hamper donation from the supermarket in Long Eaton is in recognition of the customers the dial-a-ride service takes to the supermarket each week, reports About My Area.
Filled with tea, coffee and biscuits, it will help raise money for the centre through tea and coffee mornings where it sells hot drinks and biscuits to keep its services operating.
Julia Birkin, centre manager, said: "Every hot drink we sell goes into our fundraising campaign to keep essential community transport services operating in your area. These mornings are a good way to drop in and see us if you are interested in volunteering too."
