Sting may start selling gift hampers
Published on 06/08/2010

Luxury hamper fans may be interested to hear Sting has now opened an organic shop at his estate in Italy.

People can now visit Tenuta il Palagio and purchase produce that has been grown on his farmland.

Until now, his goods have only be on sale at outlets in the US and Britain.

A range of products are on offer to consumers, including acacia honey, wine, olive oil and speciality salami.

Last year, Sting launched his own range of red wine using Sangiovese grapes grown on his farmland.

The singer and his wife Trudie Styler may now consider creating and stocking luxury hampers in the store.

In an interview with the BBC, another celebrity, ex-Coronation Street star Sean Wilson, recently spoke out about cheese and how the produce is proving popular with the public.

He now creates three varieties of farmhouse at Saddleworth Cheeses in Lancashire and was a guest judge at last month's International Cheese Awards in Nantwich.
