Sir Paul McCartney may be receiving gift hampers
Published on 10/10/2011

Gift hampers could be on the way to Sir Paul McCartney this week, after he married for a third time.

The former Beatle and Nancy Shevell chose the late John Lennon's birthday to tie the knot, with the ceremony taking place at the Old Marylebone Town Hall yesterday (October 9th).

Guests included Ringo Starr, Ronnie Wood, Twiggy, Peter Blake and Shevell's second cousin Barbara Walters.

The happy couple were showered with rose petals as they left and Sir Paul shouted to fans: "It was terrific, thank you," before heading to his home for the reception, where he sang a song written especially for his new bride.

Shevell's wedding dress was designed by Sir Paul's daughter Stella McCartney and the party featured a vegetarian dinner and a vegan cake.

Elizabeth Hurley is another celebrity who may be receiving congratulatory gift hampers, as the actress has announced she is engaged to Australian former cricket player Shane Warne.
