Savvy shoppers may already have ordered their Christmas hampers in preparation for the festive season, as new research has revealed 58 per cent of Brits began stockpiling gifts at the beginning of November. The average household expects to spend around £325 on presents for their loved ones this year, according to a study conducted by Tesco Bank Home Insurance. However, one in ten claim they are planning to splash out more than £600 on gifts for friends and family members. While Tesco's research suggests many individuals are highly organised when it comes to Christmas shopping, a recent survey from VoucherCodes.co.uk found that some wait until the last minute. The VoucherCode.co.uk study revealed 6.7 million people wait until December 24th before taking to the shops to find gifts. Ordering Christmas hampers well ahead of the festive season may appeal to those who find leaving present buying until mid-December far too stressful.
