Residents of the West Dorset Women's Refuge have been treated to pamper hampers thanks to donations from local people. The Dorchester Community Area Partnership presented the women with the gifts, which included jewellery, sweets, body lotion and slippers, the Dorset Echo reports. Mollie Rennie, chairman of the refuge and town councillor, said the local group has supported the women for some time now, adding it is great to see they have got a hamper together for them. She continued: "We get many donations of things for the children, so it's lovely that the mums get something too." According to the councillor, community support for the refuge is "amazing" and so many people are continually making contributions. Ms Rennie remarked the help is particularly important at this time of the year, as there is a lot of pressure upon the women to return home over Christmas. The pamper hampers are likely to help the recipients keep their skin hydrated this Christmas and an expert from AddictedtoBeauty.co.uk recently stated this is vital during the winter months.
