A special picnic in the park has been arranged to celebrate the 20th anniversary of care home in Scunthorpe. Lindsey Lodge Hospice has planned the event for Sunday September 9th in order to coincide with its milestone birthday. Current and former staff, volunteers and their immediate family are all invited to pack a hamper and attend the big day. Entry is free, but people need to bring their own food and seating to the hospice garden, where the celebration will be held from 14:00 BST to 18:00 BST. Entertainment has been arranged for the picnic and those interested in joining in the afternoon event have been advised that booking is essential. Lindsey Lodge Hospice was founded in September 1992 and provides support and care free of charge to more than 400 people in Scunthorpe each month. Many of those who visit the hospice are suffering from cancer, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease.
