Keen photographers may have packed their picnic hampers ahead of a special event that was held at Egerton Park during the weekend.
On Sunday July 15th, a special picnic was held for camera enthusiasts in support of a new competition, the Bexhill-on-Sea Observer reports.
Entitled Park Life, the contest requires members of the public to take a snap of the outdoor space that celebrates the current regeneration work.
Individuals have been urged to take pictures of the park at its best and there are two age groups, under-16s and those 16 and over.
There will be three subject categories – sport and play, landscape, nature and architecture, as well as portrait and people.
In addition to the picnic, there will be an introduction to photography workshop on July 18th, which will be held at Bexhill Museum and is open to all those who bring a digital camera with them to the event.
