A chef in Brighton has put the taste of the seaside town into chocolate, something which may interest luxury chocolate hamper fans. Alan White, from the Grand Hotel, commissioned a chocolatier to help him create a range of products for guests, The Argus reports. Mr White used locally-sourced ingredients, as he wanted staff to be able to have a story to tell customers staying at the venue. "We spend too much time thinking about fish and chips and I wanted to bring other elements of the seaside into the chocolate," he added. The cook explained it has been a joint effort to develop the snack, which comes in a range of flavours including cinnamon dough, honey, fudge, toffee apple and strawberries and cream. According to a recent survey published in the Daily Mirror, men now consume more chocolate than their female counterparts. Market research firm Mintel claimed 58 per cent of males now eat the sweet stuff in between meals, compared to 53 per cent of ladies.
