A pair of former Coronation Street stars might welcome a baby gift hamper as it has been revealed their first child has been born.
Jenny Platt - who played Violet Wilson in the soap - gave birth to a baby girl called Matilda on Sunday April 11th, the Sun reports.
The infant's father is Rupert Hill, who depicted Jamie Baldwin - Violet's on-screen lover - in the show.
Despite being born two weeks late, Matilda weighed a "healthy" 7lb 10oz, the newspaper revealed.
A friend told the news provider: "Rupert and jenny are absolutely thrilled. They couldn't be happier with their bouncing baby girl."
The outlet added that the toddler is the second to be born to a real life Coronation Street couple - the other being conceived by Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien.
Wayne and Colleen Rooney's first child was recently photographed for the first time at the Grand National.
