A competition organised by police officers is underway in Manchester and will see individuals enter poster designs in an attempt to win the top prize of a luxury food hamper.
As part of hate crime awareness week, the local force has launched the contest in order to encourage victims of Transphobic discrimination to come forward and report any prejudices they have suffered, the Manchester Gazette reports.
The event is set to run for two weeks and will come to a close on February 4th, when officers will judge the winning poster and award the best entrant with a deluxe array of treats, a champagne dinner, £25 of taxi travel and vouchers that can be spent in the city's Arndale shopping centre.
Organiser of the competition PC Dave Willets claimed discrimination is an issue that affects many lives, but a lot of individuals fail to report it.
He was quoted as saying: "This week is about telling people they do not have to put up with hate crime - any act deemed to be motivated by hostility."
Other activities taking place during the campaign include Coffee with a Cop, which is being held this Thursday (January 24th).
