Women who are looking for a gift for their husband or partner may want to buy them a luxury chocolate hamper, as a new survey has revealed men now consume more of the sweet stuff than their female counterparts. According to an article in the Daily Mirror, males are now the nation's biggest chocolate eaters. Mintel - a market research firm - claimed 58 per cent of men now chomp chocolate in between meals, compared to just 53 per cent of ladies. The report noted people in London devour the most chocolate and those in the North West intake the least. Men scoff more pastries and sweets than women too, but females tend to munch more biscuits. And the chocolate bar that sells the most is Cadbury's Dairy Milk and that is followed by Galaxy, Malteser's and Kit-Kat. Meanwhile, a restaurant in New York is offering a chocolate dessert that costs £15,730. The pudding contains edible Swiss gold and customers who want to try the product need to order the Frrrozen Haute Chocolate two weeks in advance.
