A champagne gift hamper could be a fitting present for Jon Snow as it has been revealed the broadcaster is celebrating 20 years of presenting Channel 4 News. The achievement was formally marked with a party at the National Portrait Gallery, which included many bottles of bubbly, the Guardian reports. John Keane, an artist in the first Gulf War, had painted an oil portrait of the newsreader for the occasion that was on display in the installation space. Commenting on the proceedings, Snow joked: "I hope this doesn't mean I am on the way out." He also praised the programme's editor, Jim Gray, who he described as "the most wonderful, anarchic editor". The evening was hosted by Dorthy Byrne and Kevin Lygo, whose appearance at the gala was his last at Channel 4 before heading to ITV. Naomi Campbell recently celebrated her 40th birthday with a tiger-themed bash along with guests that included Jennifer Lopez, Marc Antony and Eva Herzigova.
