A Hollywood star might enjoy receiving a baby gift hamper in a few months as it has been revealed he is expecting another child.

John Travolta and his actress wife Kelly Preston announced they are to become parents for the third time in around six months.

"It's impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this. We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone," he posted on Travolta.com.

According to the publication, the announcement has been described as a miracle because Ms Preston is 47 years of age.

The couple already have a daughter called Ella, who is ten years old, but their 16-year-old son Jett died 16 months ago from the rare Kawasaki disease in the Bahamas.

Singer Rachel Stevens also recently announced she and her husband Alex Bourne are expecting their first baby together later in the year following rumours she was pregnant.
