Hydration 'the key to healthy skin'

Staying hydrated is vitally important if ladies want to maintain a radiant complexion, while eating healthily is also a must.

This is the advice given by naturopath, nutritionist, homeopath and medical herbalist Max Tomlinson, who claimed the saying 'you are what you eat' is "absolutely true".

The expert explained how hydration is "one of the most important factors" in promoting a healthy and even complexion.

"Your skin won't look good if the skin cells are not plump and full of water," he added.

Mr Tomlinson described how he was shocked to see that results of a recent survey by SoBe V Water that revealed 61 per cent of people do not eat a healthy balanced diet.

This is despite reports showing that getting plenty of essential fatty acids helps to keep skin looking good.

According to Mr Tomlinson, it is important to consume oily fish and plenty of water and cut back on dehydrating products such as caffeine.
