A hamper could be the ideal gift for anyone with a newfound love of cheese.
Last week cheddar - a hamper favourite - was named as the most popular variety in the UK in a poll conducted by the British Cheese Board.
And with the Cheese and Wine Festival taking place in London from October 14th to 16th, more people may be encouraged to try the dairy product.
Nigel White, secretary of the British Cheese Board, encouraged consumers to sample something new, as more than 700 named cheeses are made in the UK.
To aid enjoyment, the organisation has launched an app that helps people make choices depending on the flavours they already like.
"It will also demonstrate the wide variety of other types of cheese available in Britain, from regional cheeses such as Cheshire, Wensleydale and Cornish Yarg, to blue cheeses such as Stilton and Blue Cheshire," he said.
