People hoping to help children consume the right amount of fruit and vegetables could find hampers and fruit hampers are a great gift.
According to Dr Ellie Cannon, a GP specialising in family health, there are a number of ways in which kids can get the five recommended portions of fruit and vegetables each day.
"It can be a nice variety of fruit snacks, fruit juice, smoothies as well as normal fruits and vegetables," she said, adding that it need not all have to be entirely made up from peas, broccoli and the like.
Dr Cannon added that in order to ensure healthy growth and a boost to the immune system is achieved it is also important give children the right levels of protein.
Hampers could also play a part in helping people get a good breakfast, something that according to consultant nutritionist and dietician at Weetabix Sian Porter should provide people with 20 to 25 per cent of their daily energy requirements.
