Buying hamper gifts online could soon be even easier than ever before as more people will use their mobile phone browsers to make the purchases.

Olly Mann, a BBC internet expert for 5 Live's Saturday Edition, said the advantages of buying gifts online will continue to make it popular and in the future consumers will be able to order their gifts any time and anywhere via their phones.

He stated: "The trend clearly for the last couple of years has been [that] people no longer feel a block [when it comes to] buying stuff on their phone."

This means that people could easily finish a successful business meeting or hear some good news from a friend in a street and within a few minutes a gift hamper could be ordered for them. 

Mr Mann said that advantages like these are eroding the boundaries between internet and physical shopping experiences.

Recent figures from the British Retail Consortium revealed that internet, phone and mail-order shopping had experienced year-on-year growth of 8.6 per cent in November.
