Hamper fans 'hide chocolate' from partners
Published on 08/10/2010

Female hamper fans are increasingly hiding their chocolate from their other halves, a new survey has indicated.

According to the poll from Canderal, 49 per cent of women are concealing the sweet stuff and are keeping it out of sight, compared to 27 per cent of men.

A total of 27 per cent of respondents admitted they store their treats - which are often found in luxury Christmas hampers - out of the way in a cupboard in the kitchen.

Furthermore, ten per cent of ladies turn to chocolate during a break up, but just one per cent of males consume the snack when faced with heartbreak.

And 46 per cent of those quizzed confessed they turn to sweet provisions when they are feeling bored.

A recent report by Jenny Craig revealed 89 per cent of UK women have claimed they have tried to lose weight at some point in their lives while 60 per cent stated they are on a continuous diet.
