The oldest person in the US might enjoy receiving a hamper to mark her latest birthday. Eunice Sanborn, from east-Texas, has turned 114 years old and was joined by friends and family in Jacksonville to commemorate the occasion, kltv.com reports. The pensioner, who was born on July 20th 1896, remarked: "I'm having a wonderful time." A Guinness Book of World Records representative confirmed Ms Sanborn is the most elderly individual in the country and presented the thrice-widowed woman with a certificate to prove the achievement. And that gift could be accompanied by a healthy birthday hamper, as the lady's age suggests she likes to take care of her body. David French, caretaker for Ms Sanborn, described his friend as "a living history book" and "a blessing". It was recently revealed Louisa Watts, who lives at Bentley Court care home in Wednesfield in the UK, celebrated her 107th birthday and was given a bouquet of roses by millionaire businessman Trevor Beattie.
