Foundation 'should be altered during winter months'
Published on 05/11/2012

As the temperature drops and the nights become longer, ladies should begin thinking about their winter beauty regimes.

Creative director at Colour Me Beautiful Veronique Henderson explained how skintones often differ considerably during the colder months of the year compared with the during the spring and summer.

As well as using moisturisers found in Regency's pamper hampers to keep skin looking healthy and in tip-top condition, women may want to consider reviewing their makeup.

According to Ms Henderson, during the autumn, an individual's complexion often becomes paler and sallower, so it is important to use the right shade of foundation.

The expert suggested blending two products together to get the perfect tone and to test this on the jawline, as this is the best place to see how close of a match a foundation is.

Beauty journalist Merle Brown recently reminded ladies to ensure they match their makeup to their natural complexion and not their faketan, as it is easier to achieve a natural look if bronzer is used to match the face to other tanned areas.
