Family picnic fun planned for Abbey Wood
Published on 10/08/2012

A teddy bear's picnic is planned in Abbey Wood in August to raise money for the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice.

Taking place on August 25th between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, families and children are encouraged to bring their own teddy bear to join in with bear-themed festivities and bringing a picnic hamper would be a great way to spend a summer's afternoon.

Head of fundraising at the hospice Stacey Lewis said that the teddy bear's picnic is one of her favourite fundraising events of the year.

"Last year, over 300 children enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of teddy bear-themed fun and magic in the hospice grounds," she added.

Kids will have the pleasure of exploring the Goldilocks and the three bears' cottage, before jumping on the bouncy castle. There will also be a BBQ tent and refreshments for adults.

Promising to be an enjoyable and delightful day for all, tickets for the picnic cost £3 per child, with accompanying adults going free.
