Wine from an English vineyard has beaten Champagne to bag a top award, news which may interest wine hamper fans.
Ridgeview's Grosvenor Blanc de Blancs 2006 - made in East Sussex - won the International Trophy for Sparkling Wine over £10 at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
Tasting director from Decanter Christelle Guibert said it was a "remarkable win", given the fact the beverage was up against a number of Champagnes.
"As if further proof was ever needed, this unequivocally rubberstamps England's membership to that exclusive club of truly world-class, sparkling wine producers," she added.
Ridgeview is a family-run business located in the Sussex Downs and it usually creates five cuvees a year, with each beverage named after areas in London.
Earlier this week, the Norwich Wine festival was launched, giving fans of the drink a chance to sample a range of different brands.
Participants will be able to buy a book of vouchers that will allow them to taste a variety of wines at a number of locations throughout the city.
