Luxury food hampers are among the prizes on offer at two forthcoming events this spring.

Farming Life reports how gift baskets will feature in a raffle at the Leary Young Farmers annual Mullahead Ploughing Match on February 25th, while hampers will also be auctioned off at the Plympton neighbourhood policing team's Stay Safe event.

According to the Plymouth Herald, the latter event will take place on February 23rd and is set to see shopping and beauty vouchers raffled in addition to the food baskets.

Police Community Support Officer Helen Gilpin said: "Our aim is to bring together people of all ages from across the community and offer them practical advice on how they can help themselves and each other stay safe."

Elsewhere, the farming competition offers individuals the chance to view several newborn lambs and calves, as well as rare breed animals.

This year marks the 98th year the ploughing match has been held.
