New research from Barclaycard has revealed many UK consumers admit that shopping on the high street for Christmas presents can be an unpleasant experience.

Almost two million will rush out to the shops this week and 34 per cent will feel anxious, ten per cent will panic and eight per cent will lose track of how much money they spend, the figures show.
