Christmas hamper fans who are thinking of purchasing a luxury hamper as gift for a friend may be interested to hear a number of shops have already launched festive ranges.

Shoppers in Portsmouth will be able to get their hands on Christmas cards from the Card Factory, as it currently has a number of Yuletide products out on the shop floor, local newspaper the News reports.

Assistant manager at the retail outlet Elise Humby said Christmas cards went on sale on July 26th and decorations will be available from the middle of this month.

"You would be surprised how many cards we sell at this time of year. Our boxed cards sell really fast," she told the news provider.

A recent survey carried out by Retail Eyes revealed 16 per cent of Britons have already starting their Christmas shopping.

And 75 per cent of those who have already begun to buy festive goods were women.
