Money raised from raffling hampers at a special musical event in Enfield has been donated to a charity that supports those battling cancer.
The local Independent reports how more than 150 people attended a performance by three choirs at the Church in the Orchard, Grange Park.
Ticket sales and cash collected from the raffle saw £1,420 raised for Nightingale Support Services, which was founded in 2002 to help residents in the borough.
Singers from the Three Valleys Male Choir, the Lynmore Singers and Latymer School String Orchestra performed at the event.
Tony Moore, concert manager for the Three Valleys Male Voice Choir, said: "We wanted to do something to help the hospice so we decided to all get together to support them."
He added that the charity was "over the moon" when they were informed of how much money had been raised.
The all-male choir has 30 members, with the youngest aged just 17.
