Children brave the cold for picnic in Lincolnshire
Published on 11/12/2012

A group of kids in Lincolnshire have wrapped up warm against the cold to enjoy a special picnic with their friends.

The youngsters from St George's Preparatory School in Boston were given suits made in Sweden to keep out the cold temperatures and biting winds that have spread across the UK in recent times, reports the Boston Standard.

Each of the special suits is created to withstand the frost and should keep its user warm even when the temperature drops to a chilling -30 degrees C, making picnics possible in any weather.

St George's was given the opportunity to use the unique clothing as it follows an education system that is also widely used in Sweden.

While the technology behind the suits is undoubtedly impressive, the kids' attention may have only been on the food contained within their picnic hampers, as they tucked into an outdoors meal in Central Park recently.
