Two celebrity chefs donned their hats for a charity cooking event at the Crucible in Sheffield, which included the chance to win a food hamper prize.

James Martin and Brian Turner took up their spots in a makeshift kitchen before beginning their food fight with a difference, reported the Sheffield Telegraph.

The aim of the game wasn't for the chefs to chuck food at each other, but to whip up a mouthwatering gourmet dish out of a bag of surprise ingredients. But of course, the real point of the event was to raise money for Weston Park Hospital, Cavendish Cancer Care and the Anthony Nolan Trust.

After the event, the chefs had the chance to rest and let someone else cook for them in a VIP dinner and auction in which £40,000 was raised for the charity.

Lots in the auction ranged from a cookery course, a signed chef's jacket, a visit to the Saturday Kitchen studios and a food hamper.
