Grimsby Telegraph readers have been invited to nominate individuals they believe deserve to win one of six hampers donated by the Artie White Foundation.
The charity has teamed up with the paper on its 12 Days of Christmas Campaign, which will see gift baskets presented to the most deserving people in the community, along with six £100 toy vouchers.
Committee member at the foundation Barry Meadows explained how each year the not-for-profit organisation aims to "brighten" people's festive season.
He added: "This year we wanted to widen the range of possible recipients by allowing readers of the Grimsby Telegraph to tell us who they think deserves a gift this Christmas."
The deadline for nominations is this Friday (November 30th) and anyone from a family struggling to pay for presents for their children or an elderly person living alone can be nominated.
A committee from the Artie White Foundation will consider the nominations and pick the 12 most deserving recipients.
