Pop princess Britney Spears is set to turn the big three-o in a couple of months and those who know her may wish to plan birthday hampers ahead of the big occasion.

Looking ahead to the milestone, the star told the Associated Press that she is excited about it.

According to the singer, whose hits include Toxic and Hit Me Baby One More Time, she currently has "a good group of people around me" and is remaining fit and healthy after a turbulent few years.

"I hear the older you get, the wiser you get and the more you know what you want - so hopefully it'll be a good year," she told the news source.

Britney is due to turn 30 as she travels in South America on her Femme Fatale world tour, the European leg of which starts this month.

Birthday hampers may also have been sent to Madonna, whose Material Girl label recently turned one year old, with a party held in New York to mark the date attended by special guests including her daughter Lourdes Leon and Kelly Osbourne.
