Both a birthday and a baby hamper could be ideal gifts for comedian Jason Manford.
The Manchester-born comic celebrated turning 29 by learning he had landed the job as the One Show's new presenter, the Sun reports.
He is set to join co-host Christine Bleakley on the BBC show's sofa in July after Adrian Chiles' recent departure from the programme.
Manford took the opportunity to also announce news that he and his wife Catherine are set to have a third baby together.
The pair have twin daughters who were born last August and the new arrival is believed to be due around December.
Upon learning of his new appointment, the funnyman admitted he "thought I must have died or something".
"In other news, I'm going to be a Dad. Good birthday this!" he added.
Earlier in the week, Jon Snow celebrated 20 years as presenter of Channel 4 News with a party, which included plenty of champagne, at the National Portrait Gallery.
