According to head of artistry for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Paul Herrington, wearing makeup can help to "empower a woman".

The expert explained how cosmetics can "instantly lift a woman's face and make her skin look better".

It was noted that simple makeup tricks can not only boost an individual's appearance, but also the way they feel.

Mr Herrington suggested that it is possible to make a woman feel better about herself by using the right concealer to make her eyes look less tired, while adding a grey shade to the cheeks will make eyes stand out.

Although many ladies choose to wear cosmetics, it was claimed the majority do not have much time to spend on perfecting their look.

According to Mr Herrington, studies have revealed that 61 per cent of women do not refresh their makeup during the day and have less than an hour a day to spend on their appearance.
