Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes may have been the recipients of baby hampers as the pair welcomed their second child into the world last week.

News of the baby's birth was kept under wraps for several days, as Holden was said to have endured a difficult labour and was in a serious condition in hospital.

The Britain's Got Talent judge is understood to have undergone an emergency c-section and required numerous blood transfusions.

However, the 40-year-old is now believed to be in recovery and is most likely thrilled to be getting to know her daughter Hollie.

The little one is the couple's much-longed for second child, with the new arrival following two miscarriages experienced by Holden.

Simon Cowell was forced to continue filming for the forthcoming series of Britain's Got Talent without Holden, after she was rushed to hospital during auditions in Blackpool.

This year's show features Alesha Dixon, Cowell and David Walliams as judges.
