Gwyneth Paltrow has announced plans to launch a summer guide to packing the perfect picnic hamper and enjoy outdoor dining in London.

The actress' latest venture is due to coincide with the launch of her new city guide that provides tips on what to see and do in the capital.

Paltrow will publish the venture through her Goop.com website, which is where she revealed her new project.

Perhaps acknowledging the unreliable and recently very wet weather in the UK, the Sliding Doors star explained how people many need to enjoy their picnics "in a tepee or your living room".

Among Paltrow's recommendations for where to visit in London is Hampstead Heath, which is described as a "natural respite amidst a bustling city".

The park is popular with many celebrities and it is often easy to spot several famous faces enjoying the sunshine on the heath, as many stars live close by.
