?If the government has its way, the minimum strength of wine could be reduced from 8.5 per cent to 4.5 per cent alcohol-by-volume.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, the government is concerned about levels of wine drinking and have launched a Europe-wide campaign to have the the term 'wine' redefined to include drinks which contain little or no alcohol.

The government claims that the demand for such beverages has increased in recent years, however, if you are of a different opinion, all is not lost.

That is because you can invest in some superb wine hampers that include some of the most famous tipples in their unadulterated form.

One option is the Grand Three in Wood hamper, which contains a bottle of ten-year-old Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky, Remy Martin Fine Champagne Cognac VSOP and Bollinger Special Curvee Brut Champagne.

You could also have the Wine Trio and Champagne hamper, which boasts Laurent Perrier Champagne, Kleine Zalze Sauvingnon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon in addition to a bottle of Torres De Casta Rosado Catalunya.
