When opting for autumnal flower arrangements, individuals are advised to keep their selection seasonal.

Bespoke floral designer Michael Pooley recommended opting for "natural and random" blooms in shades of reds and oranges, while yellow and bright tones are best to be avoided as they reflect spring time.

"Don't be afraid to mix your colours and textures. Cut flowers at different heights, even if the central flower is much lower than the rest," the expert commented.

The floral designer, who is listed by the Independent as one of the UK's top 50 florists, explained how taking inspiration from nature can be "very rewarding".
